Awesome Deal on Cream Chick and Mushroom + more

I stopped over to smiths today and got:
6 cans cream of chicken soup
6 cans cream of mushroom soup
5 cans chicken broth
2 boxes stovetop
1 box rotini noodles
8 bags of ricola cough drops (perfect timing, because I have a cold and have used them already for my cough and throat!)
2 toothbrushes
My total before any savings: $48.01
I scanned my rewards card and gave my coupons and the cashier replied,
"Holy Sh**, $2.63 is all you owe ... now that is cheating the system." I kindly replied, "Nope that is called using your coupons wisely!" He then asked if I would do his grocery shopping for him LOL.
So my savings were 95% and .08 per item!! Not bad, bot bad at all. And all of these items are ones I use on a regular basis.

Happy shopping!!

Rite Aid Diapers & Candy

Today I think I got a great deal on diapers and Halloween/Christmas Stocking Stuffer Candy.
I purchased 10 bags of candy and 4 packs of diapers for a total of: $21.20 and I still have a $2.00 store Cash Coupon thing to use on a future purchase. That equals out to approx $1.50 per item, super sweet deal for the diapers, and okay deal for the candy :)
I have way too much Halloween candy I am sure ... between this trip and the previous candy trip, however I figure they will still be good for Christmas, to go in the stockings.

Walmart Trip

I went to walmart today to get a few items. My total before coupons was 28.70, after coupons I paid 9.22 a total savings of about 68%. Not the best, but for 4 bags of candy I would say that is great.
I also picked up some bags of candy bars at target for an awesome deal!! We have all the Halloween Candy we should need :)

70% savings at Smiths

I went to Smiths to get Milk and some Poptarts and came away with lots of good stuff.
I got:
2 gallons of milk
2 packets of oreos
9 boxes of poptarts
4 bottles of BBQ sauce
5 boxes of cream cheese
11 things of mentos gum
4 butterfinger snackers
4 pouches of Idahoan Potatoes
I spent a total of $21.00 and saved 70%. Each item would have cost me $0.51
Not too shabby.

I needed the milk, we have also been out of Poptarts for a while now and they are a staple in my childrens diet ... but I needed to wait for a good deal ( Just the milk and poptarts alone would have been 21.00) And then some extras that we will for sure use!!!

Killer Deal on Diapers

So I saw a blog post about a great deal at Rite Aid on diapers. Rite aid kind of intimidates me, but after talking to a friend that did the deal I went out and couldn't be more happy!!

I got 5 packs of huggies diapers, 3 things of toothpaste, and 3 lip balms all for a total of $16.32.
That makes each item only 1.48 each!!
My total would have been 14.32 making it $1.30, however the cashier wouldn't take a coupon that he should have and I didn't feel like arguing this time because my wonderful Mom was in the car with my kids and I had already taken forever. So I gave in and paid $2.00 extra!! Still a super deal!
I have 116 diapers for 16.32 basically. so that equals .14 a diaper.
YAY!!I love good deals!! They were out of most the diapers so Kambria gets to be stuck with the sweet diapers that look like Jeans!!

One of my Smith's trips

With smiths rounding to $1.00 I organized all my coupons and headed in to use any that would be free or close to it. We were almost out of laundry soap, so I bought a bunch and now should be good for 1/2 a year. I also got more toothpaste for free, and toothbrushes. I don't think I will ever again have to pay for toothpaste or toothbrushes!!! I got a bunch of body soap and Cream of chick/mushroom soup.
Alot of this stuff is for longterm, so that I don't have to buy laundry soap, body soap, papertowels and such for some time. I spent a total of $17.61, I bought 29 items, so it is like spending .60 per item. I saved a total of 73%, not bad.
I have been over to smiths a few other times and had 75% savings.

Food Storage

Part of couponing is to get a nice food storage. I am pretty sure I have done that. I think I might now have too much cereal. But it is good, because I think if I use my food storage to plan my weekly menus, I should cut down a lot on my grocery bill, which I already have down to $300.00 a month!!

My Dad made me this cool food storage rack, and I just love it! I wish I had a bigger storage area so that I could have him make me more shelves.

The top has rows of Cereal. That first row is two large boxes of Lucky Charms and then all cookie crips (6 boxes), the second row is assorted cereals, the third row is 6 boxes of total and then cocoa puffs ontop and in front, fourth row is assorted cheerios, and fith row is trix from top to bottom. Then fruit snack stuff, mac & Chz, and condiments and oil.
My lower shelf has toothpaste galore. It has two rows of hamburger helper, some rice, poptarts, grahm crackers, fruit, crackers, a row of brownies, noodles, spaghetti sauce, corn muffin mixes and more.
i love the rotating can rack that my dad made on this. It is so wonderful. I have cream of chicken soupo, chili, cream of mushroom soup, tomato, oranges, evaporated milk, lots of pasta, corn, chicken broth, ravioli, spahettios, oranges, evaporated milk, beans, more spahetti sauce, soup, pineapple, baked beans, and a few more.
We are also stocked up on toilet paper!! We have got plenty of deoderant, bars of soap

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and shaving gel

This just goes to show that couponing really does work. I had some of the canned goods before, but the rest I have built mainly with coupons. I also have buckets of flour and sugar. I really need to work on rice and wheat ... I just don't know how much we would use those regularly.
